IGCSE 2018 Examination Result
Scholars International Academy (SIA) is celebrating its outstanding IGCSE results with 91% of all students achieving A* to C grades.
The results are a reward for the hard work and commitment of students and staff alike. In our student cohort, there were a total of 51 A* and A grades achieved.
Our students have risen to the challenges of the IGCSE course with determination and ambition, balancing their studies alongside extracurricular activities such as the International Award (a combination of community service, sports and learning new skills), international trip to London, First Aid course, overseas work experience, running after school clubs and participating in University/Career fairs to ensure they can make informed decisions about their future. All of our students scored spectacularly, preparing them well for the Year 12 and 13 A Level program offered at SIA. SIA is one of only two schools in Sharjah offering the full A Level program.
“These scores have topped our scores from previous years and are a culmination of the hard work by students, teachers and staff. My congratulations to them. As one of only two schools offering the full A Level program, the vision for Scholars International Academy is to provide an excellent British education.” – Aparna Verma, Scholars International Group Founder.
Rob Ellis, Head of Secondary said this is a reflection of the resolve of students and staff alike to rise to this high level of excellence demonstrated in the cohort’s scores. We have proven ourselves as a school of excellence for students who have the potential to be successful not only academically but in their extra-curricular pursuits, at university and beyond.
In addition to this cohort doing very well, a number of individual students achieved very high results, notably, those with 10 IGCSE’s. These students have attended SIA for many years.
“This is a wonderful celebration for SIA. I couldn’t be prouder of the students and our dedicated teaching staff.”said Nigel Melen, Principal.
We congratulate our students on these exceptional results.
